UPVC & COMPOSITE DOORS

Multipoint Lock Repair

Specialist fault finding and repair for multipoint locking mechanisms on UPVC and composite doors in Cambridge and surrounding areas.

What is a multipoint door lock?

A multipoint lock secures a door at several positions along its edge rather than at one point. Depending on the mechanism, these may include hooks, rollers, mushrooms, bolts and a central latch or deadbolt.

Handle won't lift

Resistance can be caused by door alignment or a fault inside the locking mechanism.

Locking points don't move

A failed gearbox or damaged internal component can stop the strip operating correctly.

Door only locks when pushed

This often deserves an alignment check before assuming the entire lock needs replacement.

Repair before unnecessary replacement

Identifying the exact lock and the reason it failed is important. Where suitable parts are available, the faulty component or mechanism can be replaced while retaining the existing door.
